ABOUT ME

Allen Waiserman is a a theatrically trained character actor from Los Angeles. He has focused on training, technique, & perfecting his craft since he was a kid, and has been actively working in & pursuing TV, voice-over, live performances, hosting gigs, commercial, & film projects ever since.

Some notable recent projects have been Allen appearing as a Charlie Chaplin Impersonator in the film "MaXXXine" from A24, & starring as 'Yappy' on the colorful children's show 'YippieYay!' from DharMann Studios. Most notably, he had the distinct privilege of performing as the OFFICIAL Winifred Sanderson for Disney and Freeform's 31 Nights of Halloween "Black Cat Bash" event at The Houdini Estate in honor of the 30th Anniversary of Disney's Hocus Pocus.

His other most recent project was a Co-Star role on the TV show "Black Monday" on SHOWTIME. He's a celebrated tribute artist, well known for impersonating Charlie Chaplin (including for Caesars Entertainment), Mrs. Doubtfire, and of course Bette Midler's character Winifred Sanderson from Disney's Hocus Pocus.

Allen was also most recently seen as a costumed character to the World Premieres of Disney's Hocus Pocus 2, Disenchanted, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, & AVATAR: The Way of Water.

Some other favorite noteworthy projects have been Nickelodeon's 'Sam & Cat' with Ariana Grande, where he portrayed 'Weirdo' on the main show, the web spin-off, and as a character in their 'Spot It' video game. He was also recurring for 3 seasons the comedic character 'Gordon Little' on the teen political comedy "Mr. Student Body President", which was on Amazon Prime Video & YouTube, & originally aired as part of Verizon's go90.
Allen has also appeared as himself as a recurring on-camera social media influencer on Disney's "Polaris Primetime" TV Show on Disney XD, did voice-over for Rachael Ray's pet food brand Nutrish, and a variety of other pilots & commercials, such as for the Xploderz toy blaster.

He was extremely honored to be the main subject of a recent documentary about his life as an actor, influencer, & cosplayer in LA, called "Once Upon a Costume.", which played at various festivals & premiered on the big screen at the TCL Chinese Theatre in the summer of 2019.​

Aside from TV & acting projects, Allen is also well known for his over the top Broadway-quality costumes & characters that he portrays (such as Charlie Chaplin, Lumiere, Hades, Genie, Peter Pan, Mad Hatter, etc), & drag impersonations (Mrs. Doubtfire, Maleficent, Lady Tremaine, Winifred Sanderson, etc.), all of which he also does for private events, conventions, parties, hosting, and televised promos.

Some noteworthy events have been winning 1st Place at RuPaul's Drag Con costume contest in 2018 & as Mrs. Doubtfire in 2019, winning as Lumiere in Disney's official D23 EXPO show in 2019 (which he has been a part of 3 times), hosting at the LA ComicCon as Peter Pan, performing at the Director's Guild of America, & appearing on CBS for the LA Chocolate Festival.
Allen's musical theatre & comedic character actor inspirations are: Lucille Ball, Nathan Lane, Robin Williams, Carol Burnett, Jim Carrey, Rowan Atkinson, Melissa McCarthy, Mike Myers, Liza Minnelli, Josh Gad, Charlie Chaplin, Steve Martin, Meryl Streep, & Jack Lemmon. Acting & performing will always be Allen's #1 passion in life. He is forever grateful for the love & support of his family.
